I remember that in my childhood I had friends living around close to each other. One living next door to our place, one above our apartment, or one living in the opposite apartment. Moms were yelling at the kids to come back home from their apartments. I could hear my friends playing outside my window. There were kids everywhere all the time. I am not sure whether it is because I hadn't been paying attention to kids much for the last decade, but I don't see those scenes of my memories nowadays. Where are all the kids during the day?

While my question still remains unanswered, I have been lucky to have a nice neighbour this year. They are living right next to us and Jakob has two friendly older friends who "look after" him. Many afternoons have been extra special as we always had company. Jakob played with their swing set, trampoline, sandbox, play dough and many others with them. I hope there will be more special days to come, and hopefully Jakob can remember some of it.
